Sir Edward Grey to Mr. Whitelaw Reid.
SIR E. GREY presents his compliments to the American Ambassador, and has the honour to acknowledge the receipt of his Excellency's communication of the 20th ultimo, suggesting, at the request of the Wai-wu Pu, that the date of meeting of the International Opium Commission should be postponed from the 1st January to the 1st February, 1909.
Sir E. Grey has the honour to inform Mr. Whitelaw Reid that His Majesty's Government are quite agreeable to the proposed postponement.
